Road closures remain on SH 3 and US 12 due to wildland fire response

Sections of State Highway 3 and U.S. Highway 12 remain closed as part of the ongoing emergency response as several wildfires sparked by Wednesday's lightning storm continue to burn across North Central Idaho, according to Idaho Transportation Department.

All lanes on SH 3 are closed from Juliaetta to Arrow. US 12 remains closed from Spalding (milepost 10) to Peck (mp 35) at the time of this release.

Idaho State Police in an earlier release said. "It has been determined that these closures will be in place until further notice: US12 from the US95 interchange to Milepost 39. And SH3 from the US12 interchange to milepost 10. In addition, Gifford Reubens Road is closed from US12 towards US95."

ITD resources and personnel have been mobilized from Coeur d'Alene to Lewiston to assist with the fires. Coordination with county and state law enforcement partners continues as well.
