Orofino family's home extensively damaged by fire, water, smoke An Orofino family's rented home was extensively damaged by fire, water and smoke Wednesday night, but there were only minor injuries treated on scene and all the pets were rescued, even a lizard, according to neighbors. With their coordinated efforts, Orofino Fire Department was able to save quite a few of their personal possessions, according to Chief Bart Jones. OFD, along with Orofino Police Department, Clearwater County Sheriff's Department and Clearwater County Ambulance Service were called to the mobile home at 110 Trail Bay Dr. at 8:05 p.m. He said it appears to have been an electrical fire that started in the bathroom. Firefighters vented the roof in the back part of the mobile home, as well as breaking a window to be able to fight the fire. The family has been able to contact the Red Cross for assistance, Jones added. OFD had nine personnel, Engine 55, Rescue 3 and the Command truck on scene. Here are some of the photos from the fire: |
