Fire destroys house on Dent Bridge Rd.

Fire destroyed a home at 6181 Dent Bridge Rd. Saturday night.

Twin Ridge Rural Fire District was called to a fire at 6181 Dent Bridge Rd. just before 6 p.m. Saturday. According to Twin Ridge Captain Tam White when they arrived shortly after the call 2/3 of the roof was on fire and the garage at the back was engulfed. Twin Ridge responded with 3 engines and 2 tenders, along with 13 firefighters. Orofino Fire Department was called in on mutual aide.

There was no one in the home at the time of the fire. The relatively new home belonged to Nathan Mangum and his family. They were away from home at the time.

Firefighters were on scene until around 11:30 p.m. and returned at 2 a.m. Sunday when the fire flared. They returned at 8:30 a.m. for mop up.

The cause has not been determined. The State Fire Marshal has been contacted to investigate.

The family has been in contact with Red Cross and is being cared for by relatives.

Clearwater County Ambulance Service and Clearwater County Sheriff's Office assisted.
