National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday

National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Tuesday from 4 to 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time that includes all of Clearwater County.

Orofino/Grangeville Region

Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch are forecast. A glaze of ice accumulation. 1 to 2 inches on Whitebird hill. South winds gusting up to 35 miles per hour near Grangeville are possible.

Areas of particular note are: Orofino and vicinity, Camas Prairie, Grangeville and vicinity, and Greer Grade.

Northern Clearwater Mountains

Snow is expected with total accumulations from one to three inches. Areas of particular not are Pierce, Idaho Highway 11 from Pierce to Headquarters and Elk River.

Precautions for both areas

Travel could be affected. Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
