Gyppo Creek was named for gyppo loggers who contract with logging companies to be paid by the board foot for the timber they cut. It is in Butte township and has an elevation of 1,604 feet. It flows northwest into Dworshak Reservoir just south of Grandad Creek Bridge in the Clearwater drainage.
