National Weather Service-Missoula issues Red Flag Warning for Monday

National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Red Flag Warning for Clearwater County and surrounding areas from Monday at 1 p.m. to Monday at 11 p.m.

The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

The combination of gusty winds and low humidity will potentially result in critical fire weather conditions Monday afternoon and evening. The strongest winds are expected in the early evening as the cold front arrives.

Northwest winds are forecast from 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts to 35 mph. Minimum humidities are expected to be 12 to 18 percent.
