Auction proceeds help to keep entrance to horse pull, log show free

Each year, members of Orofino Celebrations, Inc. work hard to bring entertainment and fun to people during Orofino Lumberjack Days with events such as the free Horse Pull Saturday evening and Log Show Sunday.

The annual Auction Saturday at 12:30 p.m. helps to cover the costs of those free events. Auction items are donated by local businesses and individuals and might be anything from a dozen cinnamon rolls or a dozen roses to a load of gravel.

OCI does pass the bucket for donations at the Horse Pull and Log Show, but otherwise there is no entry fee to come and watch the action.
