First baby of 2023 born at Clearwater Valley Hospital

Johnnie Evan Bentley is the first baby born at Clearwater Valley Hospital in 2023.

Congratulations to his parents Clara and Andrew Bentley of Pierce and his siblings, Levi, Camelia, Audrey, and Jonas.

Johnnie Evan was born Saturday, Jan. 28, weighing in at 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 1/4 inches long.

As the first baby of the year, his family received a variety of baby gifts from local merchants and individuals, organized by Coral Lee. When the Clearwater Valley Hospital Auxiliary disbanded, she was the annual gathering of gifts for the first baby each year. She decided to continue the tradition with the help of the community. Those who donated to this year's gifts were: a quilt made by the ladies of Orofino's Seventh-day Adventist Church, Barney's Harvest Foods, Clearwater Canyon Pharmacy, Banner Bank, Garden Gate, Watkin's Market and Arnzen Glenwood Pharmacy. Grinning, Lee says she has fun all year shopping and gathering donations for this special presentation.
