Chamber welcomes Branches and Vines to membership by Felecia McAbee In the heart of Orofino, a culinary love story unfolds as Felecia and Clark McAbee plant the seeds of their life's adventure. Three years ago, this dynamic duo embarked on a journey across Idaho, searching for a place to call home. Orofino, with its warm embrace and vibrant spirit, emerged as the clear winner. You may have crossed paths with the McAbees during their explorations, sharing in Orofino's unique charm. Strolling the streets, savoring local cuisine, and passionately supporting the Maniacs, they became woven into the fabric of the community in their hearts. Felecia, a certified Food Preservationist from Washington State University, is the mastermind behind Branch and Vines. Her commitment to quality is unwavering, and her small-batch company diligently sources the finest ingredients, including 18-year barrel-aged balsamic vinegar and award-winning single varietal Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Sustainability is a core value, ensuring each creation is not only delectable but environmentally responsible. What began as a modest venture with just 10 products at Farmers Markets has flourished into a haven of culinary wonders. Branch and Vines now boasts a repertoire of offerings, ranging from infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars to mustards, jams, organic herbal teas, and an array of sausages, including wild boar, elk, and bison. The possibilities of exploration are endless. For those eager to embark on a tasting journey, Branch and Vines opens its doors daily, Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It's an invitation to savor the rich tapestry of flavors meticulously crafted for your enjoyment. Soft opening was during Lumberjack Days week and a ribbon cutting ceremony is planned Saturday, Sept. 23. At Branch and Vines, the philosophy is simple yet profound: to bring exceptional taste to your table, create cherished memories, and inspire a league of culinary heroes known as Kitchen Conquerors.
