National Weather Service issues Winter Weather Advisory

National Weather Service-Missoula has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Northern and Southern Clearwater Mountains, as well as areas of western Montana, from 5 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday.

Snow is expected. Numerous showers and snow bands will cause localized snow accumulations of up to two inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 miles per hour is also forecast. Shortly after sunset, snow could start to stick to area roadways along with wet roads, potentially experiencing freeze up.

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
