Three transported to hospital after crash on US 12 at the Orofino Bridge Three people were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 12 at mile post 44, at the end of the Orofino Bridge, according to Idaho State Police. Thursday about noon, ISP and local emergency responders were called to an injury crash involving three vehicles. The westbound lane was blocked for about 2.5 hours. A 19-year-old female driving a small Subaru SUV (sport utility vehicle) was at the stop sign intending to travel eastbound on US12. A 73-year-old male driving a Ford SUV and his passenger were traveling westbound on US12. A 33-year-old male driving a Ford truck was traveling eastbound on US12. The Subaru SUV turned left onto US12 from Michigan Ave. and failed to observe the Ford SUV traveling westbound on US12. After the Ford SUV struck the Subaru SUV, the Ford SUV struck the Ford truck, according to ISP. The driver of the Subaru SUV, along with the driver and passenger of the Ford SUV were transported via ground ambulance to the hospital. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
