Home on Shadow Lane destroyed by fire early Saturday

A home at 226 Shadow Lane, off Lakeview out of Orofino, was destroyed by fire early Saturday morning.

Firefighters were dispatch about 3:30 a.m.

According to Twin Ridge Fire Chief Glen Crockett owner Ryan Pederson was awaken by the smoke detector and was able to get out safely. The home is a total loss. Cause of the fire is under investigation.

Crockett said the biggest challenge was getting water to the structure In addition to Twin Ridge Fire, Orofino Fire Department responded in mutual aid.
