Travel trailer near Ahsahka destroyed by fire

A travel trailer that was at the Idaho Department of Fish and Game boat ramp area near Ahsahka was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon.

Orofino Fire Department was able to contain the fire to the trailer and not have it spread to a camper that was parked nearby, though the camper may have had some heat damage, Chief Bart Jones said.

He added that Clearwater Couny Sheriff's Office deputies who were first on scene did an excellent job moving propane tanks away from the fire area.

Witnesses felt like the fire may have been started by a gas leak.

Clearwater County Ambulance Service staff cared for those from the trailer that were injured.
