Plane crashes near Warren

At about 1:03 Monday, Idaho County Sheriff's Office Dispatch received a call about a plane crash northeast of Warren near the Slaughter Creek drainage.

Forest Service personnel were already on scene because the crash caused a wildfire. Life Flight was dispatched out of Boise and Ontario, OR, and met with the Forest Service personnel at the Warren Airport where two patients were picked up and transported to the hospital, according to Idaho County Sheriff's Office.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is doing the investigation and the Forest Service is fighting the fire, ICSO said.

Agencies involved include: ICSO, Payette National Forest Service and their fire personnel and Life Flight.
