Motorcycle rider succumbs to injuries in crash on US 12 near Peck

A 40-year-old motorcycle rider succumbed to injuries suffered in a crash on U.S. Highway 12 at mile post 33 west of Peck Junction at 11:10 a.m., according to Idaho State Police.

The driver of a motorcycle was eastbound on US12 and attempted to pass three vehicles. The driver went back into his lane to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control. The driver was ejected from the vehicle. The driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The 40-year old driver was the sole occupant, ISP said.

ISP is working with the county coroner on notification of next of kin. Traffic was partially blocked on US12 during the incident. This incident remains under investigation by ISP.
