Orofino man injured in motorcycle accident at Peck Junction

An Orofino man was injured in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Highway 12 at mile post 35, Peck Junction, at about 8:29 p.m. Wednesday, according to Idaho State Police.

ISP responded to the scene. Theodore Mills, 59, Orofino, was travelling eastbound on US 12 and was unable to avoid a deer and struck it causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet, but sustained minor injuries. Mills was transported to Clearwater Valley Hospital, ISP reported.

The crash is under investigation by ISP. They were assisted by Clearwater County Sheriff's Office and Clearwater County Emergency Medical Services.
