National Weather Service-Missoula issues Excessive Heat Watch National Weather Service-Missoula has issued an Excessive Heat Watch from Saturday morning through Tuesday evening. Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 110 degrees are possible in the lowest elevations, 100 in the Camas Prairie. Extreme heat will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. Those in the area re cautioned to monitor the latest forecasts and warning for updates on the situation. Be prepared to drink plent of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets hould never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Orofino, elevation 1040 feet above sea level The high temperature in Orofino Friday is forecast to be 99 degrees with Saturday at 104, Sunday at 108, Monday at 112 and Tuesday at 111 degrees. Pierce, elevation 3085 feet above sea level The high temperature Friday is forecast to be 89 degrees with Saturday at 94, Sunday 98, Monday 101 and Tuesday 101. ![]() |
