COVID-19 Pfizer booster vaccine for specific groups to begin in region Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended a third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Those eligible for a single booster dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine are those who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months earlier and who falls into one of these categories:
Booster shots will be available at any location where the Pfizer vaccine is available. To find a list of COVID-19 vaccine providers, visit www.vaccinefinder.org. Public Health - Idaho North Central District will be holding community booster clinics at their Lewiston Office location beginning next week. A walk-in clinic will be available on Sept. 30 from 9 - 11a.m. For those interested in making an afternoon appointment, please schedule your appointment on-line at www.idahoprepmod.com. Patients will need to bring their vaccination card with them to their appointment. Ongoing vaccination clinics will be held every Thursday at their Lewiston Public Health building, 215 10th St. The booster dose is for the Pfizer vaccine only. Data is still emerging as to whether an additional dose is necessary for individuals who received the Johnson & Johnson and the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
