151 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in Clearwater County

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare began posting information about the number of people in Idaho that have receive vaccinations for COVID-19, with Clearwater County at 151.

The 151 represents the first dose of the vaccine. To be fully vaccinated, people must have a second shot. No one in Clearwater County had received the second shot as of Friday, Jan. 8.

In surrounding counties, second doses have been administered to: eight people in Idaho County, two in Lewis and one in Nez Perce. As with Clearwater, no one in Latah County has received their second vaccination.

Looking at statewide numbers Ada County has the highest number of people with their second vaccinations with 559 followed by Bonneville with 283, Bannock with 138, Canyon with 117 and Kootenai 93.

Statewide totals show, 29,406 have received one dose of the vaccine and 2,646 have received both doses.

Clearwater County also had two more deaths this week, a man and a woman, both in their 70s.
