Clearwater County has another COVID-19 death

Clearwater County has had another COVID-19 death, a woman in her 70s, according to statistics posted by Idaho Public Health-North Central District.

It was the first COVID-19 death in the county since April 5.

Case numbers have also been going up in the county and in the region. There were 5 new cases in the county Tuesday, all probable. Four were female (40s, 70s and 80s age groups) and 1 male (18-29 age group). Monday there were 3 new cases, 2 confirmed and 1 possible. Two of the cases were people in their 70s and 1 was in the 18-29 year old group, Public Health said.

Clearwater County has now had a total of 1018 cases since recording started.
