Clearwater County has total of 923 COVID cases reported in 2021

Clearwater County had a total of 923 COVID-19 cases reported in 2021 with 78 of those in the month of December, according to Public Health-Idaho North Central District's website.

Of the total 923, 834 are considered recovered, 73 still open cases and there were 16 deaths. There were 12 COVID deaths in the county in 2020 with the statistics for Clearwater County beginning in late June of that year. Of the 28 total deaths in the county, the youngest person was in their 30s and the oldest in their 90s.

Males were 0.5 thousand of the cases and females 0.4k during 2021. Cases were spread through the age groups with the highest number of cases being in the age groups from 18-29 all the way to people in their 60s.

  • 70s: 81
  • 80s: 32

Some of the statistical break down in county COVID cases in December at 78 includes 20 cadets and 2 staff members from the Idaho Youth ChalleNGe Academy from early in the month. In the county there were 49 males and 29 females with cases. Of those 73 are considered open, 5 recovered and 0 deaths. Deaths are recorded on the PH-INCD website by the date the case was reported, not the date of death.

In the last two weeks, there have been 27 new cases in Clearwater County.

PH-INCD which includes Clearwater, Lewis, Idaho, Latah and Nez Perce counties, has had 9,115 cases in 2021. Females had 4.6k of the cases and males 4.5k. Of those 8,426 are considered recovered, 533 are open and there were a total of 156 deaths. As with Clearwater County, the age groups from 18-60s had the highest number of cases.

In 2021, Lewis County had 513 cases with 16 deaths; Idaho County had 1,355 cases with 25 deaths; Latah had 2,729 cases with 35 deaths and Nez Perce had 3,595 cases and 64 deaths.
