Positive COVID-19 cases continue in county, district

There have been 73 positive COVID-19 cases in Clearwater County between Sept. 15 and Oct. 1, 35 female and 38 male.

During that time period there was one death in the county attributed to COVID. That brings the total to 3 from Sept. 1 to Oct. 1.

The most cases by age group from Sept. 15 through Oct. 1 were in those from 18-29 years old to those in their 70s.

• 18-29: 15
• 30s: 14
• 40s: 8
• 50s: 13
• 60s: 9
• 70s: 8
• 80s: 1
• 90s: 0

The county's vaccination rate is at 40.92%.

During the same period, Sept. 15 to Oct. 1, there were 1,093 cases in Public Health District 2 (Clearwater, Lewis, Idaho, Latah and Nez Perce counties). Of those 589 were female and 504 male. There were six deaths.

As with Clearwater County, the majority of the cases in the district were in the ages of 18-29 through their 70s.
