Two taken to the hospital after three-vehicle collision in Orofino

Two people were taken to Clearwater Valley Hospital following a three-vehicle collision Thursday about 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and 122nd St., according to Orofino Police Department.

Jesse Jackson, 58, Orofino, was driving a 1990 Ford F350 and stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of 122nd and US 12. Mary Galbreath, 71, Orofino was driving a 2006 Ford Ranger on US 12. Victor Hulett, 95, Orofino, was also driving on US 12 attempting to make a left turn onto 122nd when his vehicle collided with that of Galbreath that did not have her headlights on and that pushed it into Jackson's Ford, OPD reported.

Galbreath and Hulett were taken to CVH by Clearwater County Ambulance Service. A citation is pending for Galbreath for failure to use headlights when required, according to OPD.

Clearwater County Sheriff's Office and Orofino Fire Rescue 3 assisted at the scene.
