Editor's note: Breaching of the lower four Snake River dams has long been a topic of discussion and litigation in relation to salmon and steelhead. Over the weekend, Congressional Representative Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) released a framework for "reimagining" the Northwest energy landscape and recovering salmon. Of course there are proponents and critics. Today, we endeavor to present information about Simpson's proposal, as well as reactions from three groups that issued news releases.
