UI Extension still serving community despite office closure

by William A. Warren, University of Idaho Clearwater County Extension

I also want to remind you that we at UI Extension in Clearwater County are still working and available to you despite our office being closed.

We have many projects we are working on, including the conversion of 4-H and other programing to an on-line format.

Our landowner workshops are still scheduled for late May and June, but at this time we still don't know if these can be held, or will need to be rescheduled, or moved to an on-line format. You will be notified ahead of time on the status of these workshops.

I hope some of you have had time to get outside to get chores done after what seemed like a long winter. I've been cutting rose bushes out of my pasture and forest planting units as well as getting my spraying equipment ready and preparing to buy yearling calves. There never seems to be enough time to get everything done in the spring!

I thought I would pass along a couple of publications that you might find useful. One is an Oregon State University Extension publication on creating fire-resistant forests, and the other is a University of Idaho Extension publication on gardening in Idaho.

Meladi is retrieving messages regularly from our main office phone (208-476-4434) so you can still call there with your inquiries or email her at: clearwater@uidaho.edu. You can also contact Erin with questions regarding 4-H at 208-476-8964, or erodgers@uidaho.edu. You can contact me at 208-553-1279 or via email at: williamw@uidaho.edu.
