Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests rescinds all COVID-19 closures

The Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests is happy to let the public know that all developed recreation closures on the forest due to COVID-19 have been rescinded.

All developed recreation sites are now subject to their regular opening / closing schedules, including seasonal availability, and some sites may be subject to other Forest Supervisor's orders now or in the future. Visitors should contact their local ranger station for specifics about a certain site. All Forest Supervisor's orders are posted online at https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/nezperceclearwater/alerts-notices.

Campers at developed sites should bring their own potable water, as there were delays in getting potable water turned on at campgrounds this season. Infrastructure such as restrooms, picnic tables, etc. may not be cleaned between visitors; campers should come prepared with their own cleaning supplies. As with any visit to the forest, recreationists should "Leave No Trace" and "Pack it In, Pack it Out."

Please note that campgrounds no longer closed by Forest Supervisor's Order may still be inaccessible due to snow or other conditions. As always, be prepared and inquire about weather and other local conditions before planning a visit to a favorite campground.
