Community holiday dinners cancelled; food banks open

Community Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners usually held in St. Theresa's Catholic Church Little Flower Room are cancelled this year due to concerns about coronavirus exposure with large numbers of people.

There are three food banks open in Orofino for those who need food for the holidays or other times:

• Lifeline Food Bank, 1647 Carney Dr. Suite G, is open Mondays from 5-7 p.m. and Fridays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• St. Theresa's Food Bank at the Father Arnzen Center, across from the Catholic Church on Brown, is open 9 a.m. to noon.
• Seventh-day Adventist Food Bank, 3414 U.S. Highway 12, is open Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
