Orofino wrestlers competing at districts in Kamiah Saturday

Orofino High School's Wrestling Team will compete in the District Tournament Saturday at Kamiah and their coach, Larry Turcott thinks they have a good chance to take the championship, despite having several on the team out with injuries.

Turcott said it has been a good season and he expects to have an even larger team of about 30 next year. He started up the youth wrestling program again this year and had 65 young wrestlers between 4 and 12 years old come out.

Those in the top three of their weight class after districts Saturday will go to Pocatello for the State Tournament next weekend.
