Monday: A quiet place

Tuesday: Overlooks the North Fork

Wednesday: A place of history

Thursday: A place of reflection

Friday: The first burial was in 1895

Historical records show that the Nez Perce Cemetery that overlooks Ahsahka had its first burial on October 29, 1895 with Aleck Peterson. Only eight people were recorded as being buried there before 1900. The cemetery is still active.

It is on Nez Perce land across Idaho Highway 7 from the North Fork Presbyterian Church whose Elders maintain it. The mountain background make it an area of quiet and reflection.
