It was that time of the year again, Christmas!! I absolutely love Christmas. It is the best holiday of the year. Today is Christmas Eve. I've got the cookies ready for Santa. Got my PJ's on so I can go to bed and have a nice dream. Hopefully Santa has got my gifts on my Christmas list. All of them are stuff I want, but there is something for Christmas that I need. That is my dad. He is in the Navy. I was 7 years old when he left. I'm 12 now. I miss him everyday of my life. I'm going to bed. Bye.

Today is Christmas!! I think I set a new record on getting down the stairs. There was the gifts. The stocking was full. The cookies gone. The milk has been drank, but my dad is not here. I checked my list at least a 1,000 times. My heart sunk like the Titanic. I started to shed tears. My mom came down stairs and hugged me. "Honey, he is not coming home this year." That made me sad and hopeless.

I started unwrapping my presents. I got everything, but my dad. I got everybody's stocking. I got candy, gift card, and a phone. My mom got a call from the Navy saying my dad has gone missing. She started to cry. She hung up and told me the bad news. I drop down to my knees. We started to cry really hard. Until the doorbell rang. I got up, wiped my eyes, and went to my door. There in my sight there was my dad. I stood there in shock. He hugged me and I hugged him. Christmas miracles do happen.
