Level 3 evacuations issued due to Woodrat, Slide fires

Level 3 evacuations for Suttler Creek and U.S. Highway 12 Suttler Creek to Syringa have just been issued by the Idaho County Sheirff's Office since the Woodrat fire has jumped the line at the southwest boundary and is currently progressing along 07 Ridge towards Suttler Creek, according to a Facebook post a few minutes ago.

Late Tuesday, the Idaho County Sheriff's Office issued a Level 3 evacuation order for areas downstream of the Slide Fire, from the O'Hara Bridge area downstream to and including the Fenn Ranger Station administrative site.

A Level 2 evacuation warning is in effect for Lowell and the area northeast of Lowell along U.S. Highway 12, upriver along the Lochsa River, to Pete King Rd.

Tepee Fire

A Level 1 evacuation had been was issued about Tuesday evening for the Main Salmon and the Little Salmon corridor including Riggins and Pollock on both sides of the river. Payette Forest Level 1 evacuation means people should be making plans for evacuation. Consider packing medications and planning for those with medical difficulties, pets and livestock.

A public meeting about the wildfire is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. in New Meadows High School.
